Restoration of watercourses
149 kilometers of watercourses and at least 470 spawning grounds for fish will be restored in the project. With the help of excavators and hand tools: watercourses are restored to its original path.

Better status of wetlands
Four wetlands adjacent to the project's watercourse will be restored. A total of 18 kilometers of ditches will be plugged and the wetlands can regain their potential.

Watercourses without obstacles
In this project, 199 obstructing road culverts and 22 dams will be remediated or removed, which will open up 845 kilometers of free flowing water.

Big effort for the freshwater pearl mussel
Through eDNA surveys, snorkeling, genetic analysis, cage infection of juveniles on host fishes we learn more about the freshwater pearl mussel's distribution and genetics. We also breed mussel juvelnies in a rearing laboratory - to be released in their home rivers again.
